TranSystems engaged Dpict Visualization to create a series of architectural renderings for the complete renovation of the Grayland Metra station at Milwaukee and Kilbourn Avenues in Chicago. Developed well in advance of construction, the images supported community engagement and approval efforts by clearly illustrating the proposed improvements.
The renderings showcased new warming houses, access ramps and stairs, parking upgrades, bridge and roadway replacement along Milwaukee Avenue, sitework, and retaining walls. To achieve a fully photorealistic result, Dpict visited the site to capture drone and ground-level photography, then carefully composited the proposed station improvements into the existing urban context.
